I’m sitting here on a Saturday morning, drinking coffee, and I think to myself, “self, wouldn’t it be nice if you listened to one of your favorite pieces of classical music, “Claire de Lune” by Claude Debussy? You haven’t listened to that in years!” So then I Google it, and the first video I come across is Twilight-related? Like, it’s “Claire de Lune” set to scenes from Twilight, which seems REALLY random, because if I were to set scenes from Twilight to any piece of classical music, it would OBVIOUSLY be Liszt’s “Liebestraum No. 3,” but then I keep seeing more and more results that have some kind of Twilight-Debussy connection and it turns out that “Claire de Lune” is one of Edward’s and Bella’s and Bella’s mom’s favorite songs! So, you know, it’s nice to feel validated by such bastions of musical taste. I’m sure Claude would feel the same way. As one YouTube commenter says, “I love this song! Well, because of twilight, such amazing taste in music :D.” Too true, goodyangie1! TOO TRUE.
